ABOUT ME

Professional Commercial, PR, and Sports Photography in Manchester and Cheshire

I am Dave Thompson, a professional commercial, sports, PR, and News photographer all over Manchester, Cheshire and the North West, as well as further afield. With almost 30 years experience, I began my career as a press photographer, working for The Manchester Evening News, the Press Association, The Associated Press, and national newspapers.

I have over 25 years of sports photography experience, having covered events all over the UK and in Europe, as well as the London 2012 Olympics, World and European athletics, European Football Championships, Champions and Europa League, World Championship boxing, International Cricket, Rugby, and Formula One. I have also covered all Olympics since London working as a photo editor.

My commercial and PR photography work sees me shooting imagery for advertising, editorial and design. I work alongside my clients in the build up to shoots to ensure we create attention-grabbing images that really tell a story.

As a news photographer, I have covered major Royal events, celebrity photocalls, political conferences and news stories throughout the UK.
